The first weekend of August sees Hartington's first Gin and Jazz festival held at The Charles Cotton Hotel, set in the stunning Peak District National Park.

Great live music from talented local groups to internationally touring artists, speciality Gins and superb local ales provided by Hartington's own Whim ales. Catch great music Friday night Through to Sunday night. Food stands serving barbecue, and a special Gin Bar, along with Facepainting from Glittercheeks for children and and adults !

Joe's Allison trio

Kicking off the festival Joe Tatton organist and piano player with The New Mastersounds plays the music of Mose Allison

The Midnight Specials

Foot stomping acoustic jazz & Americana from Derby

The Peak District Big Band

Big band classics and some modern twists from 18 piece band run by John Milner featuring tons of local talent

Saturday 8pm

Soul Cooker (featuring the Haggis Horns)

The horn section for everyone from Jamiroquai & Amy Winehouse, Robbie Williams and many more

Sunday 12.30pm

The House Band - local favourites perform swinging classics

Sunday 3.30pm

Rodina - Singer Aoife Hearty brings a 7 piece band to close the festival described by Jamie Cullum Radio 2- "excellent"
